A few weeks ago, we asked our followers on Instagram to tell us about their favorite restaurant in Missouri. We were flooded with favorites, but one small town restaurant kept being mentioned. Followers from all over the state raved about the delicious salads, warm atmosphere, creative entrees, well stocked bar, and indulgent desserts. The Hawthorne Inn is one restaurant Missourians are quietly obsessed with and for good reason, it’s amazing!
Although just 45 minutes from St. Louis, many people in Missouri have never visited the small, unincorporated town of Labadie. This little community in Franklin County is home to one of the most delicious, unassuming restaurant in Missouri.
Inside this humble restaurant, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The front room has large vaulted ceiling, beautiful murals, and a large inviting bar. Light floods in from the large windows, which makes this room perfect for those who hate to eat in a dark restaurant.
Enjoy a drink from their fully stocked bar. Order a craft beer or fine Missouri wine from the large drink menu. The bartender can make you just about any drink!
Are you a booth or table person? Either way, they have cozy table for you waiting in the dining room. There are tons of tables at The Hawthorne Inn but they still get pretty busy, especially on weeknights. It's usually a good idea to call for reservations.
Pop in for a delicious and fresh lunch. You're sure to be satisfied from a selection form their huge lunch menu. Featuring salads, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, and more, there is something for everyone.
At dinner, enjoy one of their unique entrees. They offer standout seafood and large, saucy pasta dishes. One of their most popular dishes is stuffed chicken - a chicken breast stuffed with shrimp, crab, and cheeses covered in a mushroom garlic sauce.
