Taum Sauk Mountain State Park is bursting with natural beauty, including the tallest waterfall in Missouri. Mina Sauk Falls cascades down 132 feet and is simply breathtaking no matter when you visit. You can also reach the highest point in Missouri if you follow High Point Trail; the trail tallies just under two miles and is well-worth the effort for the views. 2. Elephant Rocks State Park – Belleview

Most people would likely agree that the masterpiece of Elephant Rocks State Park is the natural rock formation known as Elephant Rocks. The granite rocks date back 1.5 billion years and resemble circus elephants. Both adults and kiddos climb the rock formations. Clifty Creek Natural Area is perhaps best known for its natural bridge. Slip on your hiking boots and set off on the 2.7-mile Clifty Creek Conservation Area Loop Trail that leads you straight to the natural wonder. Walk under the 40-foot natural bridge. Our next stop takes us to a park that's perfect for hiking. It's home to the remnants of the former Ha Ha Tonka Castle. Like Elephant Rocks, Rocky Falls dates back 1.5 billion years. It's a gorgeous waterfall that's worth a visit in each season.
