As Halloween approaches, some of Missouri’s most haunted establishments will open their doors for limited time ghost tours. One of the best hauntings around is The Fox Theater in St Louis. The Fabulous Fox Theater opened in 1929 and has had a long and at some points tumultuous history in the entertainment industry. More than a few employees have reported sightings of at least one of the three apparitions that linger in the theater. Find out for yourself if these ghost stories are true and take this chilling ghost tour of Missouri’s most haunted theater.
The Fabulous Fox Theater will once again be offering ghost tours during the month of October.
Tours will run on October 16, 23, and 30 and will start at 6 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. The guided tour will last approximately one hour. There will also be other activities like Tarot Card readings and séances for an additional cost.
From the ornate carved faces in the walls to the intricate artwork and stained glass, there seem to be eyes everywhere. Could the feeling really be one of the ghosts that haunts the theater? Perhaps it's the gray-haired woman who sits among the orchestra rows.
One of the most famous Fox Theater ghosts appears on the stairs and watches over the on-goings of the theater. Many who have seen this woman in blue believe she is the ghost of Eve Leo. Eve was the wife of the theater's founder, William Fox.
Find the Fox Theater at 527 N. Grand Blvd., St. Louis. Don't forget to check out their other amazing shows and events throughout the year! You can find out more information about this event from their Facebook page here.
