It’s always amazing to see cities reinvent themselves. In St. Louis, buildings that were once forgotten have been restored into shops, restaurants, and residences. Brick River Cider Company is one of the many new St.Louis establishments that has taken something old and made it new again. The spectacular firehouse turned ciderworks has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
This once abandoned firehouse is now home to St. Louis' only ciderworks and restaurants, Brick River Cider Company. The owners of Brick River invested over 2 million dollars to rehab this impressive building.
Engine House No. 32 was built in 1892 and served the city until 1929. The building became many things over the years but was eventually abandoned and boarded up.
