With so much gorgeous natural scenery all across the state, we’ll probably never a get a chance to see all of it. However, we can explore many of Missouri’s natural secrets on one of its more than 1,190 hiking trails, some of which are so short, sweet, and simple that you’ll feel like you’re on a leisurely stroll. Lake Springfield Park Trail in Missouri offers a glimpse at the beautiful landscape and local wildlife, making it perfect all year around.
Lake Springfield Park Trail wanders just over two miles through the park of the same name, offering an easy way to enjoy the natural scenery.
While the trail scores an easy rating, be prepared for some inclines. Hikers assert they're not too difficult and certainly not enough to elevate the rating to moderate.
Bring your pooch along on this pet- and kid-friendly trail that can get pretty busy. However, you'll still find certain times during the day when you have the trail all to yourself.
If you've got time, explore the rest of the park after your hike. Boating is popular on Lake Springfield, and the park is home to a relatively new disc golf course.
