Once again, having to pick from all the great doughnut shops in Missouri was difficult! I could focus just on St. Louis or Kansas City and have a list a mile long. What I tried to do here is represent as much of the state as I could. They are not in any particular order, and I know I left out quite a few. Here is a sampling of great places to find donuts.
Soon to be opening their 4th Location, you can find the original Hurt’s Donut at 301 Park Central West, Springfield. For more information and for other locations, visit their Facebook page at Hurt’s Donut.
They have two locations at 1101 Lemay Ferry Road in St. Louis, and 3120 W. Clay Street in St. Charles. Visit their webpage at The Donut Stop for more information and hours.
13. Strange Donuts, St. Louis (3 locations: Maplewood, Kirkwood, and Columbia)
Strange Donuts can be found at the following three locations: 2709 Sutton Blvd. Maplewood, 107 E. Argonne Kirkwood, and 1020 E. Broadway Columbia. Visit Strange Donuts for more information and hours of operation for all locations.
Located at 12218 McKelvey Rd in Maryland Heights and 6045 Howdershell Road in Hazelwood. Visit their website at Tony’s Donuts. It’s still under construction, but you will find a full menu there.
Located at 709 S Maguire St in Warrensburg. You can visit their Facebook page at Yummy’s Donut Palace.
For this list, I tried to stay away from larger companies and chains like Krispy Kreme, Einstein Bros. Bagels, LaMar’s Donuts (or Ray’s), or Dunkin’ Donuts, simply because most people have already heard of them. Many of those listed are locally owned, and as usual, I encourage you to patronize your local businesses and support your community. If you are now craving a donut (like I am) and are within driving distance of any of these places, why not try them out?
Did I leave out your favorite? Have you been to any of these? Feel free to comment below.
