Christmastime has evolved over the years, even in our lifetime. However, if we turn back the calendar to the 1840s, to the days of Charles Dickens, Christmas would undoubtedly have looked a lot different and certainly a lot less commercial. Instead of imagining an old-fashioned Dickens Christmas, experience it for yourself this holiday season. Plan a visit to the one-day Dickens’ Christmas in Missouri this December.
Stroll back through the pages of time to the years that Dickens’ famous A Christmas Carol was fresh on the shelves when you visit Main Street in the enchanting town of Warrensburg.
Due to the pandemic, all guests are asked to wear a mask when appropriate. The event is also the perfect time to do a little bit of holiday shopping. (Shops may have their own safety requirements, so please follow those guidelines, too.)
Your visit to downtown Warrensburg provides an opportunity to vote for your favorite decorated window, too. All windows will have a number attached to them. Vote for your favorite on December 4 or 5, 2020.
Will you go to the Dickens’ Christmas in Missouri this year? Have you been in the past? Share your experience in the comments! Still need to get into the Christmas spirit? How about a stroll through the Wild Lights at Saint Louis Zoo?
