Missouri’s Mark Twain Lake might not be the answer to all of your problems, but it certainly offers such a peaceful backdrop that your stresses are sure to melt away, at least for a few hours. Even if you’re not a fan of spending time on the water, you’ll find plenty to do in the picturesque park that surrounds it. If you’ve never visited, you might just be on the verge of discovering your new favorite outdoor destination in Missouri.
A day on Mark Twain Lake, nestled in Mark Twain State Park in Florida, promises a whole lot of adventure and relaxation.
Slip your boat into the water via one of the boat ramps (each has four lanes) for a day of exploring the water, which promises beautiful views of the lush green park.
Sometimes the best, most relaxing way to enjoy the water is with a swim or by floating as you watch the clouds roll by. Mark Twain State Park also has a sandy beach that leads into the water.
