The Missouri Rhineland has some of the most beautiful landscapes in our state. Most of Missouri wine country sits on the banks of the Missouri River, offering visitors breathtaking sights of both the vineyards and the riverside bluffs. A warm spring day begs for a trip to the wineries and Augusta, just an hour west of St. Louis, is the perfect destination. However, a hearty meal is often required after spending the day at the wineries and The Silly Goose in Augusta is a great place to get dinner before driving home.
Editor’s Note: The Silly Goose if permanently closed.
The Silly Goose can get pretty busy, especially on a nice day but you can call and make reservations in advance. Find more information about the restaurant from their website or their facebook. The Silly Goose is located at 5501 Locust St., Augusta.
