Take a trip to the pecan capital of Missouri. Brunswick may be small but it’s the heart of Missouri’s farming culture. Take the scenic drive across the state and relax in this tiny town to get away from it all. Find out what you can discover in this charming farm town.
Brunswick, Missouri has less than 1,000 residents and is known as the pecan capitol of of the state. Brunswick is also the home of the Missouri Farmers Association.
Farming has been a staple of this community since its founding. Locals celebrate their agricultural roots with an annual harvest festival and pecan festival. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you drive into town.
Walk down the main drag and pop into local antique shops to find some treasure. There are also some fantastic quilting shops, a cultural museum, and pecan groves to explore.
Be sure to stop and get a photo with the world's largest pecan. This concrete pecan is actually an exact replica of a huge pecan discovered by George James in 1947 on his property.
After exploring the town, grab dinner at The Railyard Steakhouse. This cozy steakhouse sits inside an old train depot. Enjoy dinner, drinks, and maybe even live music on a weekend night.
