While Labor Day may be the unofficial start of the fall season, it doesn’t truly feel like fall until caramel apples, cider, pumpkins, and mums start showing up at local markets. By the time August comes to a close, the apple trees in Missouri are heavy with fruit. Fall is just around the corner and one charming cider mill is just getting ready to open for another season. Dunn’s Cider Mill in Belton has been pressing apples for cider for over 40 years. Their cider is one of the truest tastes of fall and you certainly can’t pass on freshly made apple cider donuts. Jon and Jane Dunn, and occasionally their granddaughter, run Dunn's Cider Mill. Mr. Dunn has been pressing apples for their amazing cider himself for over 40 years.
The Dunn's truly love what they do and it shows in the way they treat their customers. In the past, they have set out self serve cider after the mill had closed for the season.
Dunn's Cider Mill hasn't announced their official opening date but they typically start selling donuts in the first weeks of September and then start pressing cider shortly after.
