Why take a plane to another state when Missouri is bursting at the seams with wonderful things to see and do in the fall? One of my favorite spots to visit when the leaves turn colors is Weston. This quaint, historic town sits along the beautiful Missouri River.
Enjoy a fall hike at Weston Bend State Park.
Let's start the morning off by enjoying the natural wonders of this small town. Weston Bend State Park offers a number of easy hiking trails. One in particular, will take you to the lookout point of the Missouri River.

From Irish-import gifts to eclectic antiques, Main Street is lined with shops that will peak almost anyone's interests. Visit
Weston's Chamber of Commerce website for more information on these shops.
Grab a bite to eat at Tin Kitchen.
After a long morning of hiking and shopping, take a breather and indulge in a slab of ribs at Tin Kitchen, located right in the heart of Weston.

Indulge in a classy dinner at Avalon.
As a perfect way to end the night, have a relaxing dinner at Avalon. Before it was a bistro, this white gingerbread structure was an 1847 antebellum home.
