For a “world class eco-adventure,” visit Branson Zipline and Canopy Tours, located north of Branson inside the Wolfe Creek Preserve in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. They offer several different themed zipline and canopy tours, giving the visitor a beautiful bird’s eye view of the Ozarks landscape.
You start your experience by checking into Wolfe Creek Station, and riding to your destination in one of their Pinzgauer Swiss Army Troop Carriers. Guided by knowledgeable, well-trained and certified guides, you can make sure your experience at one of the only themed zipline courses in the world will be a special one.
They have been in business since May of 2010, and have been highly popular since. They are so popular, in fact, that spots for each tour sell out rather quickly. Reservations can be made by calling them or by booking online.
The restrictions for the canopy tours are that participants weigh between 70 and 275 lbs., you can’t be pregnant, and you must meet basic health requirements. For a complete list of requirements, click
here . All participants must sign a waiver. However, in addition to their zipline & canopy tours, they now offer a Photo Safari walking tour & Ol Blue's Gemstone Mining, ensuring there is truly something for everyone.
The canopy tours consist of ziplining from platform to platform, and crossing multiple sky bridges through the tree canopy under the supervision of certified guides. No experience is necessary.
Canopy Tour options include the Flying Prospector, the Ozarks Explorer, and the Canopy Adventure Combo, each between 1.5 to 3.5 hours long. Or, if you really want an adventure, try the Blue Streak Fast Line & Free Fall Xpress! It starts with a Pinzgauer ride to the top of Wolfe Mountain where you will zipline above the tree canopy, landing on top of the tallest tower on the property. After that, you will experience an exhilarating 100' vertical free fall.
The Wolfe Creek Photo Safari is a gentle walk down the mountain through meandering trails with a mid-mountain break and numerous amazing photo opportunities. A guide will give you information about the Ozarks and the legend of Wolfe Mountain.
At Ol' Blue Gemstone Mining, you can pan for Eli Wolfe’s lost treasure. You purchase a bag of mining rough (dirt from a mine) in the Station and step outside to the mining sluice. Here, you use a screen to do some old fashion panning for gemstones. Things you might find are gemstones, pyrite (fool's gold), or fossils. This allows you to take home a piece of the Ozarks.
Wolfe Creek Station also has a unique gift shop, and Family Reunion & Group Party Spaces including the Observation Deck, Xplorer Balcony, and Prospector Pavillion.
Again, there is limited availability and these Zipline Canopy Tours sell out well in advance. To secure your spot, make your reservations as far in advance as possible.
Branson Zipline Canopy Tours are located at 2339 Us Highway 65 in Walnut Shade.
