Summertime in Missouri is synonymous with fun, whether we prefer to spend long, leisurely days on a sandy beach, meander on picturesque paths, or feel our hearts leap into our throats on our favorite thrill rides. If fast-paced thrills are your favorite part of summer, plan a trip to Missouri’s Worlds of Fun.
Worlds of Fun in Kansas City will unveil its newest roller coaster, Zambezi Zinger, a steel and wooden hybrid, during the 2023 season.
If the name sounds familiar, you’ve probably heard of – or maybe even ridden – its predecessor, the Zambezi Zinger that thrilled park-goers from 1973 to 1997.
The beloved coaster returns bigger and better than before, promising thrill seekers two minutes of heart-stopping moments. The coaster reaches speeds of up to 45 miles per hour as it zips along the 2,428-foot track.
Nestled in the African Serengeti at Worlds of Fun, the Zambezi Zinger will take you on a one-of-a-kind safari. Feel your heart leap into your throat at the sudden dips and quick turns as you zip through the trees.
The return of the Zambezi Zinger is just one highlight of a season that promises a ton of fun as Worlds of Fun celebrates its 50th year. A full menu of events, including a nightly show, is planned.
Will you go to Missouri’s Worlds of Fun to ride the brand-new Zambezi Zinger? Did you ride the old one before it was removed in the late 1990s? Let us know in the comments! Then, discover why Branson is the best place in Missouri to visit when the weather is warm.
