Arthur Bryant’s Barbeque in Kansas City started as a food stand in 1908, founded and run by Henry Perry, whom many consider the father of barbeque in Kansas City.
The stand eventually evolved into a restaurant that Arthur Bryant would take over in 1946. He remained at the helm until his death in 1982, building his barbeque restaurant into one of Missouri’s most loved and well-known.
