There are tons of dazzling Christmas light displays throughout Missouri, but one park tends to go a little more above and beyond when it comes to decking the halls. Jackson County’s Christmas in the Park started in 1987 and has been delighting visitors from all over the state since then. Let’s take a look.
Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to make a donation that will go towards supporting 39 different charities in the area.
The day before the light display officially kicks off , cyclists of all ages are invited to ride through 4.5 miles of Christmas magic in the park. Once they finish, they can enjoy free live music.
This amazing park features more than 300,000 lights and 175 animated displays. Both children and adults can appreciate and marvel at all of its beauty.
When driving through the park, visitors are required to have both their headlights and taillights on since the park tends to get pretty dark at night, with the exception of the Christmas light displays.
The lights will be up from November 23rd to December 31st. Head on over Sunday - Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. or Friday - Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Have you been to this Yuletide tradition before near Kansas City? We’d love to hear what your experience was like!
