Toilet paper and hand sanitizer have become hot commodities the last few weeks, flying off of the store shelves in minutes. Unfortunately, that run has made it difficult to find both products. Several breweries, including 4 Hands Brewing in Missouri, have stepped up, using their spaces to create desperately-needed hand sanitizer.
Covid-19 has turned life upside down for all Americans, with important supplies – like hand sanitizer – difficult to find. That’s lead individuals and companies in numerous industries to step up and lend a helping hand.
4 Hands Brewing in St. Louis, for example, has produced 1,000 gallons of hand sanitizer to date. The bulk of that hand sanitizer is bottled in one gallon containers.
The brewing company has donated more than 140 bottles to the city of St. Louis while it’s also selling bottles to local gas stations, grocery stores, and other businesses.
While the brewery is not open for dining in during this time, customers can still purchase their favorite beers. 4 Hands Brewing serves such favorites as Cast Iron Brown, Passion Fruit Prussia, and AOL Peanut Butter & Jelly.
4 Hands Brewing has also started a GoFundMe to help raise funds to help owners and staff “of independent bars, restaurants, and shops in the St. Louis.”
