Aunt Jemima pancake flour was invented in St. Joseph in 1889. It was the first self-rising pancake flour. Those who aren't into pancakes still have Missouri to thank. The pancake flour paved the way for all ready-mix food, as it was the first to be introduced commercially.
10. Every state has a sunset, but only Missouri has one over Busch Stadium with the Gateway Arch.
