Missourians are pretty lucky. After all, we live in a beautiful state dotted with big cities, small towns, and quaint villages. We don’t have to drive far to find natural beauty or an unforgettable adventure. No matter what corner of Missouri we call home, we can all probably agree that Missouri is an awesome state. We don’t have to travel all the way to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon, when we have our very mini version right in our own backyard. Grand Gulf State Park in Koshkonong is home to the breathtaking canyon, a perfect place for spending the day outdoors.
Missouri’s downright beautiful, and its many natural wonders add to that breathtaking beauty. We can explore the naturally chiseled rocks of Elephant Rocks State Park, swim in the gorgeous water at Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park, and marvel at Mina Sauk Falls, Missouri’s largest waterfall.

You probably won’t find another state that’s home to as many of the world’s largest things than our very own Missouri. The World’s Largest fork, roll of toilet paper, pencil, and (20th century) pecan are just a few. What are your favorites?

We’re never far from a delicious meal and, when it comes to BBQ, no one knows how to make it quite like Missourians. Can you say burnt ends?

We’ll never ever get bored in Missouri (unless we want to be bored), especially when we have so many places to explore – like some of the 6,000 caves that offer us a glimpse into the past.
When we’re not exploring caves, we can visit the many amusement parks, zoos, museums, and landmarks that dot the state.

One of the best ways to discover all corners of Missouri is to hit one of its nearly 700 trails that meander through towns, cities, and lush forests. We can go on short hikes or long hikes, day hikes or overnight hikes, and easy or hard hikes. Missouri’s got it all.
Missouri pretty much has it all, including some of the friendliest people in the country. That, alone, makes us really fortunate to live here.
