Next year, life in Mississippi will be much more amusing – and that’s because the state’s only amusement park is set to open in 2022! The waterfront park will boast all sorts of fun features, including a bar in the sky and a giant Ferris wheel.
If everything goes according to schedule, the state's newest amusement park will open at the Margaritaville Resort in Biloxi by next summer.
Margaritaville is already home to a rooftop water park and a 55,000-square-foot entertainment center that offers everything from video games to a zip-line roller coaster.
Not your typical Ferris wheel, the Sky View Ferris wheel has a $12-million-price-tag! It will be similar to the one found in Atlanta. However, unlike the cityscape views afforded to riders in Atlanta, the Biloxi Ferris wheel will offer views of the barrier islands that lie just off the coast.
The amusement park will also have an Aerobar, which is a bar that’s 137 feet in the air!
Created by the European company Aerophile, Aerobar is a circular bar that starts off on the ground and slowly rotates as it climbs high into the sky. It can accommodate 16 passengers and a bartender, so you’ll be able to enjoy drinks as satisfying as the panoramic, 360-degree views.
