There’s no better place to get a taste of the past than H.D. Gibbes & Sons! Not only is it one of the oldest general stores in the state, but it’s also a restaurant that’s known for its grilled steaks.
Easily one of the state’s best small town gems, H.D. Gibbes & Sons is tucked away in the tiny, 80-person town of Learned.
Giving top-notch restaurants a run for their money, the menu features a variety of cuts in an array of sizes. Chow down on a 9-ounce filet, 14-ounce New York strip, or 16-ounce, rib-eye.
Saving room for dessert is difficult – but well worth it! There are a few options, but the most popular is the funeral brownie. Decadent (to say the least), it’s a brownie topped with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and ice cream.
