Earlier this year, we highlighted the Outcroppings Trail in Tishomingo State Park. Filled with sites unique to Mississippi, the trail is practically guaranteed to make you feel as if you’ve been transported you to another word, but it’s not the only one.

Clark Creek Nature Area in Woodville has both primitive and improved trails, which are filled with waterfalls, huge rock formations, and other rare sites. The 700-acre nature area is often referred to as one of Mississippi’s “most beautiful outdoor treasures”….and it’s a must-visit. Take a look:

Much different than the topography found in most of Mississippi, Clark Creek Nature Area is filled with huge loess bluff hills, steep moss covered ravines, and more than 50 waterfalls.

A popular hiking spot for people of all ages, Clark Creek features several miles of both primitive and improved hiking trails.

The improved trail, which is 4 miles long, includes several wooden stair cases and bridges that make the area easy to navigate.

The 2.6-mile primitive trail requires climbing hills, crossing narrow ridges, and making treacherous descents, so it’s recommended for more experienced hikers.

Both trails are marked with signage to help you find your way, but it’s always a good idea to bring a map with you.
