Biscuits are a breakfast staple in Mississippi. The early morning fare can be found pretty much everywhere – from restaurants to gas stations. But if you’re ever near the town of Brookhaven when a biscuit-craving strikes, there’s only one place you should stop. Take a look:
This is Dude’s. The Brookhaven staple has been in business for over 30 years!
Situated on a corner just off Highway 51, the unassuming eatery may not look like much on the outside. But what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in flavor.
Customers continuously rave about Dude’s. So much so, that it received Brookhaven Magazine’s 2017 Reader’s Choice Award for whipping up the city’s best breakfast.
The biscuits are consistently delicious – something that can be attributed to the fact that they’ve been made using the same recipe and technique since opening over three decades ago.
The only thing that might take long is deciding what to order. Take a look in the display case and you’ll find biscuits topped with everything from gravy to link sausage.
Don’t see what you want? Or maybe you just want to make sure they don’t run out before you arrive? No problem; Dude’s fills special orders. Just call in and it'll be ready when you arrive.
