The Lights Festival Is A Sky Lantern Fest In Mississippi That’s A Night Of Pure Magic
There’s nothing quite as magical as a sky filled with hundreds of glowing lanterns. Luckily, you don’t have to take our word for it. Simply mark your calendar for the upcoming Lights Festival, and you can see the enchanting sight for yourself. Take a look:

You’re probably wondering why the New Orleans Lights Festival is in Mississippi, and there’s actually a very good reason. The Lights Festival requires a venue with lots and lots of open space, which is hard to come by in New Orleans.

Also, the lanterns are 100% biodegradable, so if for some reason a lantern can’t be collected, it won’t harm the environment or wildlife.

Kids tickets are available for festival-goers ages 4 – 12, while children 3 and under are free. Keep in mind, though, kids tickets do not include a lantern.

Merchandise, such as blankets and sweatshirts, will also be available for purchase at the festival.

There’s also live music.
You’ll likely want to stay a while; make sure to bring a chair, so you’ll be nice and comfy.
