Normally, the term terrifying view is associated with heights, but in Mississippi the phrase takes on a whole new meaning. Here, terrifying views come in the form of natural disasters, and the proof is in the photos below.
1. Taken in Bay St. Louis, this photographer captured the truly frightening sight of the storm surge created by Hurricane Katrina.
9. At first glance this photo may not seem scary. But when you consider that this was done by Hurricane Katrina after she had weakened to a Category 1 storm, it is truly frightening.
10. Another terrifying view of the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina; however, this photo was taken on the Gulf Coast – an area that experienced the storm at its worst.
