Although not as common as they once were, there are several general stores in Mississippi, each as charming as the next. Of these historic stores, the Simmons-Wright Company in Kewanee definitely stands out. Established in 1884, not only is it the oldest general store in the state, it’s also the only one of its kind in terms of architecture and style in the area.
Visit The Simmons-Wright Company at 5493 Highway 11/80 in Kewanee on Monday – Friday, from 6:00 am – 5:30 pm and on Saturday, from 6:00 am – 2:00 pm. For more information, click here. Have you ever been to this historic store?
