Fall is easily my favorite time of year. I will trade the hot southern summers in a New York minute for some crisp, cool fall air and a chance to see the leaves change color. While the rest of the leaf peppers head to popular spots like Tishomingo State Park, there’s one scenic spot in Mississippi during fall that I encourage you to check out.

Tucked away in the northeast corner of Mississippi, Iuka is one of the best towns in Mississippi to visit in the fall.

This little town that’s just a stone’s throw away from Alabama comes alive during autumn, and there’s plenty of natural areas to check out. Text Readers Will See J.P. Coleman State Park is one of the most well-known state parks in this area (plus Tishomingo State Park), but there are plenty of hidden gems to explore here as well.
