Revisit The Glory Days At This 50s-Themed Restaurant In Mississippi

In the past, we’ve told you about must-visit retro spots, like Brent’s Drugs and Borroum’s Drug Store and Soda Fountain, but those aren’t the only decades-themed eateries in the state. Another that belongs on your radar is Blue and White Restaurant. Authentically retro, the restaurant looks like something straight from the 50s. Take a look:
Located in Tunica, Blue and White Restaurant first opened in 1924 alongside the original Route 61. It moved to its current location in 1937.
With the addition of casinos, many things have changed in Tunica over the decades; however, things at Blue and White Restaurant have stayed pretty much the same.
From the vinyl chairs and booths to the classic checkered floor, it’s undeniably retro. There’s even countertop seating – a cornerstone in diners of decades past.
But the décor isn’t the only thing that hasn’t changed at Blue and White Restaurant. Just like all those years ago, the eatery is still known for its tasty, home-cooked fare.
Stop by for lunch or dinner and you can fill up on traditional Southern food, like chicken and dumplings, greens, black-eyed peas, fried chicken, catfish, and more.
In addition to the vintage decor and great food, visitors rave about the exceptional service and true southern hospitality at Blue and White Restaurant, only adding to the reasons to visit the Tunica treasure.
