As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
There are lots of places you can reconnect with nature here in Magnolia State, but none are quite as cozy and comfy as Blue Heron Cabin. A tranquil and idyllic escape, the rustic abode backs up to the river. Even better, there’s a massive deck, so taking in the scenic surroundings couldn’t be easier. Take a look:
This is Blue Heron Cabin. It’s tucked away in Pike County, which is located on the southwestern border of Mississippi.
But the cabin’s not located on just any river. It’s situated on the banks of the Bogue Chitto River, which has been dubbed one of the "purest, natural recreation zones in the state.”
Though small in size, the cabin is BIG on amenities and includes everything you need to cook or grill, such as utensils, pots, pans, a small fridge, two grills, a gas stovetop, and a toaster oven.
