And since it doesn’t get much healthier than pulling food straight out of the ground, we figured why not put together a list of the best spots in Mississippi for picking fresh fruits and veggies. This pick-your-own farm offers several varieties of both blueberries and blackberries in addition to selling their own local honey. While there, be sure to check out the authentic Aermotor water-pumping windmill, which is used for irrigation and pond renewal.

One of the largest blueberry farms in Mississippi, Blue River Farms and Nursery has been in the business of blueberries for 30 years. After signing in at the "Berry Barn," you can get to pickin’ and are guaranteed the largest and sweetest blueberries grown.

In business since 1960, Mitchell Farms has expanded tremendously over the years and now includes a whopping 1,500 acres! In addition to pick-your-own tomatoes and peaches, the farm offers other fresh fruits and vegetables, peanuts, and tours of both the farm and the on-site historic cabin which is filled with memorabilia that has been collected throughout the years.
First opened to the public in 1996, Cedar Hill Farm offers a little bit of everything. While on the farm you can visit the pick-your-own fields, which include strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries, purchase other fresh food at the produce stand, take part in a number of educational trips, grab a bite to eat at the Country Kitchen, and play a game of paintball – definitely something for everyone.
Since 1984, running this "U-Pick" blueberry farm has been a family affair. Each summer the Traicoff family opens the farm to the public, allowing access to several varieties of deliciously sweet blueberries. And for only $12 a gallon, it’s definitely worth braving the summer heat.
Starting off with only ten acres of tomatoes, Charlie’s U-Pik farm has grown to now include 100 acres of assorted fruits and vegetables. Promising a "pickin’ good time," this is the perfect way to not only stock up on farm fresh goods but to spend time with the entire family.

Opened each year during the summer months, Dannemann Farm offers blueberries for the pickin’ for a mere $7 a gallon!

The family owned and operated organic "U-Pick" blueberry farm, spans six acres and includes 6,000 blueberry bushes.
What started off as a dairy farm soon grew to include crops of fruit, known as Reese Orchard. Today, the dairy farm is no longer in operation, but fresh fruit is as abundant as ever. Offering pick-your-own blueberries, Asian pears, muscadines, scuppernongs, and Oriental persimmons, Reese Orchard cannot be beat when it comes to variety.
