Spending the day on a picturesque farm, picking fresh fruit may sound like something from a dream but it’s actually a reality at Cedar Hill Farm. The sprawling farm offers visitors the chance to pick their own blueberries and blackberries. That’s not all it has to offer, though. There’s also a produce stand packed with pre-picked fruit as well as a variety of activities and events throughout the year. With so much to offer, the farm is the perfect place to take the whole family on a day trip. Take a look:
Located in Hernando, Cedar Hill Farm is a family owned and operated farm with 120 acres of beautiful farmland.
Blackberries are available for pickin’ at the end of May until July 1st. Not only tasty, the blackberries have small seeds, which makes them perfect for use in jams and jellies.
Not into picking your own berries? No problem; Cedar Hill Farm has a produce stand that sells pre-picked berries. You can also buy frozen berries, which are great for baking or over ice cream.
In addition to blueberries and blackberries, the produce stand, which is open June – July, sells plums and peaches.
