I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Drive-in restaurants are all but a thing of the past. The ones that exist today are a nostalgic throwback to a time when the world was simpler. They are the types of places where people could hang out for hours, enjoying both food and life. Visiting Phillips Drive-In (or P.D.I. as it is also called), one can almost picture classic cars filling the lot on a Friday night and groups of teens and families ordering and eating burgers at their vehicles.
P.D.I. has always been popular with the locals of Laurel and surrounding towns. If you are not from the area, I suggest you take a drive out here, order a burger, and enjoy a place that will transport you to a different era!
