Take a hike…at the Reservoir Botanical Garden Trail! A short paved trail, it winds through lush greenery, colorful wildflowers, and towering trees, making for a peaceful adventure like no other.
Nature is on full display along the Reservoir Botanical Garden Trail in Brandon!
Billed a “community jewel” of Brandon, the Reservoir Botanical Gardens is a woodland garden comprised of native plants and trees as well as ornamental flowers and shrubs.
Traversing it is a breeze, too, since there’s a minimal elevation gain. Plus, the entire trail is asphalt – except for a small portion, which features a wooden bridge.
The beds of plants that line the trail are maintained all year. What’s more, the sights change throughout the seasons, which is why the Reservoir Botanical Garden Trail is a great visit year-round.
Dogs are welcome on the trail too. They must be leashed, though. And owners must clean up after their pooches, which couldn’t be easier since there’s a pet waste station with plastic baggies.
So, did you know about this short-but-sweet loop trail? Ever trekked along this botanical garden nature trail? If so, what’d you think? Tell us.
Does this make you wonder if there are any other great loop trails in Mississippi? Well, you’ll be happy to know there are several, including this little-known boardwalk trail in Mississippi.
