This Overnight Ghost Hunt In Mississippi Is The Creepiest Thing You'll Ever Do

Mississippi is no stranger to haunted homes. The McRaven Home and Waverly Mansion are two of the most notorious. However, there’s another home that seems to experience just as much, if not more, paranormal activity than these two well known haunts. Even better, you can actually stay overnight and experience all of the creepy happenings for yourself. Take a look.
Tucked away in the small town of Florence, you’ll find the Mississippi House. The home has experienced so much paranormal activity, it’s been dubbed "the little red house where ghosts live."
According to Alice, the home’s owner, strange occurrences began as soon as she moved in. Odd things, like doors slamming on their own and items mysteriously disappearing and then reappearing, happened regularly. She learned to cope with the bizarre happenings; however, that changed in 2011, when she saw what she described as "a large tunnel of light, going from the ceiling to the floor."
Too afraid to stay in her own home and desperate for answers, Alice reached out to Darren Dedo of WAPT. After hearing Alice’s story, Dedo contacted the Mississippi Paranormal Society.
The team headed to the home and began their investigation. After collecting numerous EVPs (recordings of spirits speaking) and video evidence, the team determined that "Alice isn’t living alone." More specifically, they concluded the home is haunted by two spirits. Read more about their findings here.

Despite its obscure location, the home’s reputation has attracted paranormal investigators and mediums from all over the country.
The initial investigation in 2011 was the first of many. Throughout the years, the Mississippi House has been visited by "Seattle’s best psychic" Lyndsey Paul, world renowned psychic medium Chip Coffey, nationally recognized astrologer and medium Rachel Lang, and, most recently, Steve Gonsalves from Ghost Hunters.
Each investigation has returned the same results – the home is haunted. Several of the professionals also agree it’s a "portal for lower level spirits" as well as "a vortex or culmination of various powerful energies."
An experienced investigator, John’s work has led him all over the country. However, it is this home in small town Mississippi he describes as a "ticking time bomb" and the "Vegas of paranormal activity."
Throughout his time in the home, John has captured countless videos and EVPs. Here’s a video of some of his most unnerving findings.
Two years ago, author Brad Cooney took on the role of managing the home and became involved in the on-going quest for answers.

The accomplished author has been published in several national magazines as well as penned his own book, "Let’s Talk Boxing." It wasn’t until his own paranormal experience in 2013, that Brad became truly devoted to investigating the mysterious. His search for answers has led him to The Mississippi House, where he remains devoted to studying one of the state’s most active haunts.
Like many other investigators who’ve spent time in The Mississippi House, Brad has captured countless videos, EVPs, and photos.
