Loaded with history, the store has been in operation for over a century and is the site of one of the most notorious events in American history. The iconic store, which now includes a mouthwatering restaurant, has been transformed into one of the state’s most unique attractions and an absolute must-visit.

the Onward Store. Located on a lonely stretch of Highway 61 in Rolling Fork, the still-functioning general store has been serving locals and hunters since 1913, and in recent years, has grown to include a restaurant.
Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to peruse the merchandise, which includes a variety of items created by Mississippi artists, homemade goods, fresh produce, standard convenience store items, and more.

Monday – Thursday from 10 am – 5:30 pm and Friday – Saturday from 10 am – 5 pm. Dinner is served Friday – Saturday from 5 pm – 9 pm.
