Mississippi is full of unique sites and attractions. And if you’re looking for one to add to your must visit list, consider Palestine Gardens. Located off the beaten path, the gardens are actually a scaled replica of the Holy Land. Extremely detailed, you’ll never find anything else like this one-of-a-kind destination. Take a look:
Truly a hidden gem, Palestine Gardens is located off Highway 98, approximately 15 miles north of the small town of Lucedale.
Using a 1 yard:1 mile scale, it features accurately represented topography - all the way from the Dead Sea at 1,380 feet below sea level to Mount Hernon in Syria, which has an elevation of 9,223 feet.
Still available today, the tour will take you across the Jordan River to places, such as Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Mt. of Olives, Calvary, Sea of Galilee, and the Great Sea.
Visit Palestine Gardens at 201 Palestine Garden Road in Lucedale Tuesday through Saturday (April – November), from 9 am to 5 pm and on Sunday, from 1 pm to 5 pm. For more information, click here.
