And while Square Books is well deserving of its accolades, it’s not the state’s only celebrated bookstore. There’s also Turnrow Book Company, which is sure to impress in more ways than one. Take a look:

Opened in 2006, Turnrow Book Company can be found in the Fountain Building in downtown Greenwood. From the outside, it may not look like anything special, but looks can be deceiving.

As soon as you set foot inside, it’s clear Turnrow Book Company isn’t your typical bookstore.

The store’s sheer size alone is sure to impress – it’s 4,000 square feet! And almost every last inch of it is filled with great books.

Modeled after old European libraries, Turnrow Book Company has an open, airy feel. Beautiful lighting and other intricate details, perfectly complete the old world feel.
As if it couldn’t get any better, there’s a mezzanine, which loops around the entire store and features a café, art gallery, and more books.
