It’s not uncommon to find great restaurants in small town Mississippi. And if you need proof, just pay a visit to Quitman, where you’ll find about 2,300 residents and Mimmo’s Ristorante Pizzeria. The family owned eatery serves up an authentic Italian fare, which includes some of the best pizza around. Take a look:
This is Mimmo’s Ristorante Pizzeria. It’s located on Main Street in downtown Quitman.
Inside, you’ll find a recently remodeled dining area. Despite the updates, it’s retained its casual vibe, resulting in a comfy and inviting atmosphere.
There are also nightly specials, such as Giuletta’s Pizza. A delight for your taste buds, the signature pie combines mozzarella cheese, red onion, chopped tomatoes, walnuts, shaved Parmesan, and prosciutto.
Each and every pizza begins with hand-tossed dough. After being topped with a tasty combination of ingredients, the pizzas are baked to perfection in a wood-fired oven.
That’s right; in addition to classic Italian sweets, like tiramisu and cannolis, the eatery serves dessert pizza. The delectable pies are made by topping homemade dough with Nutella, powdered sugar, fresh fruit, and more.
Mimmo’s Ristorante Pizzeria is located at 110 Main St., Quitman, MS 39355. For more information, call (601) 557-9006. You can also visit the eatery’s Facebook page.
