Mississippi is filled with a diverse group of people and that’s part of what makes our state so amazing, but even with such an assorted population there are just some things that most Mississippians own. So, check out the list below for the items you’re bound to find in the homes of most Mississippi residents.

1. A homemade quilt that has most likely been passed down for generations.

2. Some type of framed cross-stitch that was made by a family member.

3. An American flag proudly flying.

4. A gun rack or cabinet.

5. And if there’s a gun rack, there’s often times a mounted deer close by.

6. Most Mississippi homes smell as if some delicious food has just been cooked and there’s a reason for that… delicious food has just been cooked.
