Though Daniella was born in New York and has lived in a couple of other states, Mississippi has been her home for more than 30 years. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi, Daniella began to hone her writing skills through various internships. In the years since, she’s had the privilege of having her articles appear in several publications, such as the Mississippi-based Parents & Kids Magazine. She’s also had the honor of interviewing actress Sela Ward for The Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience.
If you’re looking for a way to entertain the kids (while having a little fun yourself), Health Works is a must visit. The Tupelo-based museum is full of interactive exhibits that’ll excite the young and old alike. Offering a wonderfully wacky experience, Health Works is the perfect day trip destination. Take a look:
This is Health Works. It’s an interactive children's educational center that aims to educate children on the importance of making healthy choices.
Health Works’ main attraction, the Funtastic Floor, features games, activities, and exhibits. And since they all focus on healthy living, it’s a great learning experience for the young and old alike.
The Brain Theater is another popular attraction. Sure to provide an experience that’s as memorable as it is educational, it includes a giant brain and features an interactive movie explaining how the organ operates.
Special events, like Kids Night, Fun and Fit Friday, and Summer Day Camp, are held throughout the year. Check out the Health Works website to learn about upcoming events.
Health Works is located at 219 Industrial Rd., Tupelo, MS 38801. For more information, call (662) 377-KIDS or visit the museum’s website or Facebook page. So, have you ever been to Health Works? Have another favorite museum to take the kids? Tell us in the comments section!
