The Mississippi portion of the Gulf Islands National Seashore includes six barrier islands and the Davis Bayou Area in Ocean Springs.
Every campsite has water and electricity hook-ups, picnic tables, and a fire ring/grill. The campground also includes restrooms with showers, so you can enjoy the great outdoors along with a few modern-day necessities.

Perfect for history buffs and nature lovers alike, the CCC Spur Trail includes informative markers about the construction of the park and ruins of a building that once stood on its grounds.
Along the trail, you’ll find several markers, which provide lots of info on the plants and animals in the area, in addition to observation decks for taking in the stunning surroundings.
While staying at the campground, consider paying a visit to one of the nearby barrier islands. Don’t have your own boat? No problem; Ship Island Excursions offers ferry service to and from the island.
