Luckily for us Mississippians, there are plenty of eateries throughout the state known for severing mouthwatering tacos. So, the next time you’re looking to satisfy your taco craving, follow this tasty trail, which will lead you to some of the best in the state.

The perfect place to start your journey, Taco Felix is known for serving an amazing authentic Mexican breakfast. Among the mouthwatering options, you’ll find the Breakfast Taco. The hearty creation is made by stuffing a tortilla to the brim with eggs, your choice of bacon, sausage, ham, or chorizo, and cheese.

2. South Depot Taco Shop (1004 Van Buren Ave, Oxford)
Located just off the square in historic downtown Oxford, South Depot Taco Shop has a reputation for a great atmosphere and even better tacos. You can choose to "build your own" or select from one of the specialty tacos on the menu, which includes unique creations, like Buffalo Chicken and Chicken Caesar.
3. Green Ghost Tacos (1290 E County Line Rd, Ridgeland)
At Green Ghost Tacos, fresh, quality ingredients are combined with family recipes that have been passed down for generations - and the result is some of the best tacos in the state. Made-to-order, you’ll basically build your own taco. Start by choosing between a homemade corn tortilla, flour tortilla, or hard shell tortilla. Next, you’ll make your filling selection, with options including everything from standards, like ground beef, to not-so-standards, such as pork marinated with pineapple.

Proof that good things come in small packages, this tiny Ridgeland eatery boasts a mouthwatering Mexican fare, which includes authentic tacos. Aside from the food, it’s the prices customers can’t stop talking about - $7.50 will get you three tacos and a drink.
The taco portion of Pig and Pint’s menu may be a bit on the small side, but it didn’t stop the eatery from snagging Buzz Feed’s title of the "top taco spot in Mississippi." And after one bite of the specialty tacos, you’ll definitely agree. The Pulled Pork Taco and Fried Green Tomato Taco are just two of the unique creations you’ll find on the menu.
Since 1973, Hattiesburg locals have headed to Mexican Kitchen to get their fill of authentic Mexican cuisine. The tacos are one of the eatery’s most popular items, and according to customers, they’re even better with the restaurant’s signature hot sauce.
At El Lupillo, tacos are the specialty, which means the restaurant has had plenty of time to perfect them. Described as "authentic street tacos," the tasty creations are served on your choice of a corn or flour tortilla, which falls somewhere between a hard shell and soft shell, and stuffed to the brim with the meat of your choice.
Woody’s may not be a Mexican restaurant, but that hasn’t stopped the eatery from churning out some delicious tacos. Far from typical, taco selections include tasty options, like the Spicy Sweet Chili Shrimp Tacos and Korean Pork Taco.
