With 250 seats and a seemingly never-ending maze of dining rooms, it’s one of the largest restaurants in Mississippi. And while its size is impressive, the menu, which boasts an “eccentric spectrum” of dishes, is nothing to scoff at.
The Crystal Grill opened in Greenwood in 1932, making it one of the state’s oldest restaurants.
When The Crystal Grill first opened, it was a 60-seat diner called The Elite. In the early years, it catered to C&G Railroad workers, who’d stop in the area for a late-night meal.
