Some of Mississippi’s best restaurants require travelling a bit off the beaten path. Worth the extra effort (and miles), these remote eateries usually serve up local favorites, like fried catfish and seafood. One such restaurant is hiding in a rural area of the Gulf Coast. Take a look:
A longtime local favorite, Lakeview Catfish Restaurant can be found near the banks of Orange Lake in a rural part of Moss Point.
A great place to satisfy your hankering for fried catfish, the restaurant serves it "all you can eat." Even better, the perfectly fried catfish comes with hearty portions French fries, Cole slaw, and a biscuit.
As far as seafood, you won’t be disappointed. In addition to menu staples, like shrimp and oysters, the restaurant serves seafood specials that vary daily.
If you're more about the "turf" than the "surf," you won't be disappointed, either. Meat lover favorites, like filet mignons and lamb chops, are available on select nights, while hand cut rib-eyes, ribs, and hamburger steaks are part of the ordinary menu.
