At some museums, touching the exhibits is strictly prohibited. The Jesse Brent Lower Mississippi River Museum isn’t one of those museums. Instead, the museum actually boasts several hands-on exhibits – and that’s in addition to a motor vessel, which you can hop aboard. Take a look:
The Jesse Brent Lower Mississippi River Museum is located on Washington Street in Vicksburg.
Jam-packed with information, the museum’s exhibits and displays cover topics spanning from the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 to the fish found within the river.
From the control room to the kitchen and crew quarters, nearly the entire vessel has been staged. Even better, it can all be explored, as you will basically have free rein of the vessel.
