Usually, hidden gems are tucked away in tiny towns, but that’s not always the case. Mississippi’s larger cities have their own fair share of secret sites just waiting to be discovered. And one hidden spot that belongs on your radar is The Stables in Tupelo. Tucked away in an alleyway, the eatery is easy to pass up, but you definitely don’t want to do that. Take a look:
Despite a location in downtown Tupelo, The Stables grill and bar is often overlooked — and that’s because it’s tucked in a narrow brick alley.
The eatery’s official address is 206 N. Spring St. Ste. 3 in Tupelo.

A longtime local favorite, The Stables offers up home-cooked lunch specials, tasty cocktails, live music on the weekends, and what many refer to as the best burger in Tupelo.
The full menu is available from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
But if you miss out on the special, don’t worry, the menu is overloaded with mouthwatering options that include everything from tasty apps, like catfish nachos and fried pickles, to steak sandwiches and po’ boys.
Of course, you can’t go wrong with the eatery’s most popular item, the burger. Order it any way you want it — loaded with toppings or with nothing at all. Either way, you’re sure to be impressed.
