If you made a list of things commonly associated with Mississippi, great food and hospitality would most likely be in the top five. The two things are not hard to come by in the Magnolia State. But if you’re looking for a spot where you’re sure to find both, look no further than The Trace Grill. The laid back eatery has been in business for nearly 20 years, boasting a menu full of tasty options that are sure to satisfy your hankering for home cooked goodness. Take a look:
Serving made-from-scratch meals in a cozy setting, you’ll feel right at home at The Trace Grill.
The restaurant was founded by Kevin Thompson in 1999. By 2011, it moved to its current location in the old Alumni House in Gas Lamp Village on Highway 51 in Ridgeland.
If it’s variety you’re after, you’ve come to the right place. Order a blue plate special, and you can choose from 14 meats and 15 sides to create the perfect home cooked meal.
Coming in 2nd only to the blue plates, the burgers are made with fresh ground chuck and served on white, wheat, or jalapeno cheddar buns, which are made onsite daily.
At The Trace Grill, "made from scratch" even applies to the salads, which are topped with homemade dressing. Among the tasty options, you’ll find Comeback dressing – a customer favorite.
The classic southern fare combined with the laidback atmosphere and great service make it easy to see why The Trace Grill has remained a local favorite for the past 18 years.
