Did you know there’s a pie farm in Mississippi?! Wait, let us rephrase that. There’s a farm in Mississippi that sells pie. The farm, Native Son Farm, whips up pies on site with fruit grown, you guessed it, on site. It just doesn’t get much better (or fresher) than the homemade pie at Native Son Farm. And believe it or not, the pie is just one reason to visit.
Located in Tupelo, Native Son Farm boasts 20 bountiful acres of produce and a farm stand stocked with fresh-picked and locally sourced items.
Just a “three-quarter-acre garden” when it opened, Native Son Farm is now the largest certified naturally grown, CSA farm in Mississippi. So, what exactly does that mean?
And as far as the CSA part, that means that community members (you!) can buy into the farm in exchange for a share of its harvest. You don’t have to be a CSA member to shop at Native Son Farm, though.
Pies aren’t the only fresh-baked goodies sold at Native Son Farm, though. The farm also whips up strawberry cobbler, an array of quiches, and sourdough bread.
The farm-fresh selection doesn’t end with produce, though. Native Son Farm sells a variety of goods from other local farms, including cheese, eggs, beef, pork, and lamb.
Prefer to pick your own produce? Then you’ll want to check out this u-pick farm in Mississippi, which boasts acres of fruits, veggies, and flowers – all for the pickin’.
