Now that it’s officially fall, you’re likely itching to partake in all your favorite fall festivities, and we’ve got just the place for you to live out your seasonal dreams – Pumpkin Adventure! An amazing annual affair, visitors can celebrate the arrival of autumn with hayrides, a visit to a pumpkin patch, and more. Take a look:
For the past several years, the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum in Jackson has hosted Pumpkin Adventure, a much-beloved fall festival.
In addition to a hayride and visit to the pumpkin patch, the $8-admission to Pumpkin Adventure includes access to Small Town, Mississippi, a life-size replica of a tiny town from the 1920s.
Among the buildings that fill Small Town, Mississippi is an old-fashioned general store, where you can see displays of items that were commonly sold in general stores in the 1920s.
The charming shop also carries a variety of classic toys, such as jacks, yo-yos, and marbles, as well as Mississippi-made products, such as cheese straws, honey, jellies, jams, and more.
Pumpkin Fest attendees can explore the Heritage Center Gallery, too. Quite captivating, the gallery houses an array of exhibits, covering 500 years of Mississippi’s agricultural history.
Remember, Pumpkin Adventure will take place on the following dates: October 7-10, 14-17, and 21-24, 2020. The event will take place from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
