Some restaurants are nothing more than a place to grab a quick bite. Then, there are others that are so much more. And with an art gallery, bookstore, and gift shop, The Crown Restaurant is definitely the latter. Take a look:
When in Indianola, a visit to The Crown Restaurant is a must.
It should be no surprise that the eatery has a reputation for its tasty Southern cuisine. It is located in the Delta, the most Southern place on earth, after all.
But The Crown Restaurant doesn’t serve a typical Southern fare. Instead, it’s Southern food with a bit of a twist, such as a catfish po’ boy with Comeback sauce in the place of mayo.
Though incredibly delicious, the food isn’t the only thing that’ll get your attention at The Crown Restaurant. While dining, you’re sure to notice the array of art on the walls – all of which is created by local artists and available for purchase.
But food and art aren’t all you can get your fill of at The Crown Restaurant. You can also stock up on great merchandise, thanks to the eatery’s combo gift shop and book store.
The gift shop features more than great merchandise, though. It also has a bookstore, which carries books about the Blues, the Delta, and local cuisine.
Visit The Crown Restaurant Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. For more information, call (662) 887-4522. You can also check out the eatery’s website or Facebook page.
